 info on oboe

I'm looking for information on an oboe that says Signet-the Selmer Company MR29463.

I need to know what this is or what today's equivalent is. My daughter played this particular model in NC and loved it. We now live in CA, and she hates the oboe provided by the current school.

HELP!!! Even a suggested source of info would be appreciated.

I know a bit about oboes, but not Selmers. Recently, Sel appears to have abandoned the Bundy [clar] name, using now Selmer USA, to distinguish Sel-Paris [I guess]. A substantial music store should have Sel catalogs and try their web-site and E_M or phone for info. There are some at times on EBAY, search for "Selmer Oboe" and see what turns up. Luck, Don
