OK, Han started at 6-7 yes? So at 10 he had already played for 3 years, maybe 4. His Weber Concertino for somebody playing for 3-4 years was good, but far from amazing..... But for **that young age** was amazing.

Han got a lot better from age 11 than at 10 - Concertino was ok, Grand Duo was really good.

Here's a 17 yr old who for playing 6 years sounds pretty good live too - I thought better than Frost on the Bartok Contrasts. I'd challenge most any recording of it even.

It's all relative. Players develop on their own time. And Alia's sounding great these days.
