Ever since I stumbled across a CD of Rick Sowash's "Chamber Music with Clarinet" sometime during the early 1990's, I've been a fan. By my rough count of his catalog, he's now composed over 30 works that feature clarinet, including works for clarinet solo, clarinet and string quartet, numerous trios and now a concerto. He has a unique style that I can only describe by saying, if Grandma Moses had composed music, I think this is what it would sound like. You can hear the entire concerto (as well as several other of his works) for free at:
http://www.sowash.com/recordings/concerto.html
The site also includes a link to download a free pdf version of the clarinet part.
Enjoy.
Best regards,
jnk
