Hi Blazian - I had a bit of experience with these early plastic bass cls, finding some faults like those you describe. I believe that most faults have now been corrected in the newer models, so my [and other's] advice would be "take it {or have it taken} to an experienced B C repairer-tech", rather than trying to adjust keys yourself. Could it be returned to Ridenour for correction ?? A further Search here might help. Luck, Don
