Thanks for the replies. The barrel is a genuine Pruefer Super Artist model. It's not the cork, it is the mouth piece base material. I mic'd the tenon O.D on the Pruefer mp and it measures .856 inches (21.74 mm) compared to the B45 and other fitting mp's averaging .871 inches (22.12 mm).

Sounds like I have 3 options.
1. Turn down a current production B45 mp.
2. Bore out the original Pruefer barrel. Not too keen on this one.
3. Buy a new barrel.

Sounds like a new barrel is the easiest fix.
I know barrel length will affect tone. Anything else to watch out for and do you have any barrel "Brand" favorites?
