Luciano Pavarotti was the finest teacher any instrumentalist could ever have . He achieved his fame because he communicated his ideas so very well and for most of his life he had the most perfect instrument of his time. But it was his ability to actually communicate that was terribly attractive and was the source of his gift. It wasn't just his voice, though that would have been enough but the way in which he personally brought the message of his voice to so very many people, people who had no particular love of opera. He was truly the rock star of opera. Communication was his genius and he made so many people happy with his voice . This is the lesson he taught us all.
