 RC Eflat bore question
Author: Alseg
Date:   2006-08-29 16:34

Question to those in the know:

I have a new RC Eb barrel, and compared it to an older one that was sent to me by an esteemed pro player. The internal measurements were different by a huge amount (0.551ish for the new one, and 0.510 for the older one).
The older one is original to the instrument and was quickly swapped for another barrel. Both are marked Buffet and RC.

What gives? Did buffet change dimensions at some point, or is this barrel an anomaly?.

What is the proper nominal bore size?

Francois? Walter? Dave? anyone?? anyone??

Yes...I could email Buffet (I have done so in the past) but answers are often slow, esp in the summer.
