Hello!!!

I have a dilema. I play a LeBlanc Opus and a Buffet R-13. My intonation on the R-13 is pretty good, with the exception of the altissimo (at about the Eb above the staff). On my Opus, however, my pitch begins sagging at top space G. When inspecting both clarinets it appears that the register vent tube on the Opus is placed higher up on the upper tenon than the R-13. Could this be causing me to play flat? I played both back-to-back and the flatness presents itself in the same place each time on both horns, so I don't think I'm changing anything. Any thoughts???

Thanks!!!
Clayton

Edit: On the R-13, I play a 66mm barrel, and my intonation is pretty good. However on the Opus I am forced to play a 65mm barrel, and I'm still a tad flat in the upper register. Thanks!!!
