 Squeak! Help!
Author: Bassie

So I got me a squeak. It lives somewhere between clarion F and clarion G. All the pads on the top joint seem to seal just fine. It's driving me crazy. Any ideas?

It's worse with my usual mouthpiece - so have I just got mouthpiece fatigue? (it's not the mpc as I have two of them and they both do it to me!)Do I just need a rest from my usual to kick my lazy technique back into shape?

Which brings me to the crazy mouthpiece I'm playing as a substitute. It's a Runyon 22(4) in transparent blue plastic, and it's lovely. Has anyone ever heard of or even played this brand? I found it online and it was so reasonably priced I just had to get one. Or is it just an American thing that's only just surfaced this side of the pond? Certainly a talking point at rehearsals.
