sometimes its hard to share the excitement of an upcoming concert with friends who dont have the same passion. i have been a member of the atlantic wind symphony (not confused with atlanta wind symphony) for 7 years or so and i still get excited every concert - but this one is just "big" to me.
we have a guest soloist, adam frey on euphonium and we got to play with him at the dress rehearsal and it was just awsome.
we are playing the wilson suite with adam and some other pieces with him - we are also playing the barber of seville which is really exciting.
i have 2 co-workers coming to the concert. it will be nice for them to see me in my "element."
just wanted to share my excitement with others who know that day of the concert feeling

i know exactly how you feel......to someone who doesn't have that same drive....passion .... love for music they can never understand how wonderful and fullfilling playing can be!!
