The tuttis in the Krommer Clarinet Double Concerto are not to be played... Has anyone here played them?

Who says you can't play'em. In fact they don't just double the 1st, 2nd vln parts they do provide a bit of harmony to the wind section. Must say that i haven't played either one for a while though.

Rob
Wolfgang Meyet does play in the tuttis in the Mozart, well at least in the live recording I have. Not sure if it adds anything. I play about 6 bars or so in the 1st movt just to make sure the basset is in tune with the band. I think playing in the tuttis would help if your also directing the orchestra.
