 Being discussed

It is an odd feeling, signing on to the bulletin board and finding yourself being discussed. It is equally disconcerting when you find people making up things rather than asking. However, I suppose it is inevitable, so I am taking it in good humor.

Since it was already brought up, I will say that I do have a new mouthpiece available. The specs were suggested by both Julie DeRoche and Larry Combs as an advancement on my CXZ_K11 mouthpiece.

As a developer of products, I go out of my way to get suggestions from all who will use my products. In developing a "top pro" mouthpiece, What better source could I get than the two people above.

I publicly want to thank them for their very valuable time spent helping me make my stuff better.

I do NOT want to launch on a list of names, but there are many people have helped me immeasurably. The very first person was David Niethamer, who took an early interest in my mouthpieces and encouraged me when my stuff was probably pretty rough. Thank you David.

BOTH Clark Fobes and Richard Hawkins were extremely helpful in the early days. They shared knowledge and experience when there was absolutely no advantage on their part. Both men are wonderful gentlemen and make excellent products. They both have set a very high standard in the mouthpiece business.

Another person I need to acknowledge is Lawrie Bloom. He has pushed me, and pushed me hard, to develop better and better bass clarinet mouthpieces. I could never have afforded to pay him for all the time he has spent with me. Thank you Lawrie.

To those who wonder about pricing, I would appreciate your asking me rather than guessing. In the case of the new mouthpiece, it involves additional finishing on what would otherwise be a completed mouthpiece. Time equals money, it's as simple as that.

In terms of marketing, all we have is words to describe products that are very complex and are used in many different situations. If anyone feels that in any way I have mis-represented my products, please make the specific claim know to me and I will review it. I try very hard to run an ethical and honest business. I certainly do not want to be making claims that are not factual.

Thanks,
Walter Grabner
