 Mouthpiece test
Author: clarnibass

After reading that thread about crystal mouthpieces, I decided to offer to do a subjective, non-scientific, not necessarily accurate - test.

I will record a few samples on clarinet and bass clarinet, using all my mouthpieces, and my mediocre recording equipment. Some are crystal, some are rubber, and some are wood (the equipment is mostly metal :)).
I'm actually interested to see statistics of which mouthpiece people prefer more from the ones I have regardless its material.

Anyone who is interested in participating post in this thread please. The only rule is you can't make fun of my playing :) or at least not be too harsh when doing it :)

Thanks.

Edit: if you want to join please send me an email to clarnibass@yahoo.com

Count me in, C B, I just now added to the reviving-fire of the crystal/Portnoy et al?] thread, and having recently received info from Brad Behn {look up his web site}, have renewed interest in this important subject. Don

Thanx, Mark, Don

Please contact clarnibass directly; the BBoard isn't to be used as a polling or name collection place.
