 Shaggy Bar Story
Author: Ken Shaw 2017

So, a G, an Eb, and a C walk into a bar.

The bartender says, "We don't serve minors here."

The Eb leaves, and the other two have a fifth between them.

After a few drinks, the G was out flat, and the experience was diminished.

When the C sobers up, sees one of his friends missing, the other one passed out, and realizes to his horror that he's under a rest.

C was tried and found guilty of contributing to the diminution of a minor and was sentenced to ten years of DS without Coda at the Paul Williams/Neil Sedaka Correctional Facility.

While in the Correctional Facility C started to play experimental jazz and became a free note just in time before a group of other notes were caught trying to break out in an ascending scale over the walls.

LOL! Nice story! Sounds like something my voice teacher would forward to all of her students!

John, I'm starting to worry about you. First you ask, :""what the heck is Tony "on?"....." And now you start questioning Ken's veracity!. Oh! Woe! Are we all to fall under this terrible inquisition?

I shared this w/ a friend who says:

A-Suspended sentence would have been more appropriate. However, in the
future, the C should stick to tonic!

A whole note ran into a bar. It was the end of the measure.

Let me rewrite my joke then:

A quarter note walked into a bar. The bartender says "Hey, you can't come in here!"

"Why not?" asked the quarter note.

"Because," replied the bartender, "according to the time signature, we've already reached our capacity. Try the next bar over."

Incredibly ambiguous English language!
It will be a nightmare if this joke is to be translated in Korean. Footnotes will be longer than the text. That's the case for the translation of the book "Eats, shoots and leaves".

That's a hilarious book in English. I can't imagine how little sense it makes in Korean.
