I have two of these. The one I have restored, was acquired from the original owner who stated it was puchased new in 1947. It has a good tone. Most of the minor intonation problems I found were taken care of by simple pad heigth adjustment. I use it for my back-up horn. I'd give you the serial # but it's on loan to a young music major who just lost her new Buffet when her car was burglerized. NEVER leave an instrument in a car. If the heat doesn't get it, some idiot will!
