I currently have my call tone as Artie Shaw playing Begin the Beguine.
My text message ringer is Benny Goodman and his band playing Sing, Sing, Sing.
Downloaded these both on my Samsung phone from Sprint.
Do you all have any clarinet ringtones?
There was a ringtone thread, but it is very different. Check it out if you want:

I've got one.
I have a 'record' feature on my phone. So I got it ready, cued up a track on a mix CD I made in my car (of classical), and pressed play on my stereo and record on my phone.
As of now, whenever my phone rings, it plays the first 25 seconds of Crusell: Clarinet Quartet No. 1 in E flat, Op.2 - Rondo (as played by Thea King.
(you can stream it to hear what my phone sounds like right HERE)
Boy have I gotten flack about that one in my various social circles, but my phone rings on. And I have no intention of changing it!

I was thinking of putting a tune from WICKED on my cell phone as a ring tone. That way, if I forget to turn off my phone (a Broadway rule), it'll sound like the show! Just a thought (bad joke).
BTW: You would not believe how many cell phones go off every night on Broadway, and up at Lincoln Center. Is it that bad at your theaters around the country?

That surprises me JJM, because it's Broadway. Then again, it doesn't surprise me because some people just don't realize that they're being disrespectful and/or don't care.
I am someone who gets very angry whenever I hear that, or people talking excessively, or babies crying. My high school had a lot of class, and we had less frequent interruptions than that, perhaps that's why I'm the way I am.
(Though embarassed as I am, I did forget to turn my phone off in the middle of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith...I guess it happens to everyone. :/)

I'm playing "King of Hearts" right now and before each show, the music director hops up on stage and announces "We're going to take you back to the last day of World War I, now -- a time when cell phones, pagers and the like hadn't yet been invented so please make sure you've turned yours off. We want to keep the show as authentic as possible." So far no interruptions.
BTW, the theater where we're performing is in a building with a large carousel and every night before the show and during intermission, the audience (and pit orchestra) can take free rides. How's that for a fringe benefit, John?
Best regards,

Sounds great, Jack!
But a good ride at WICKED might be on a broomstick!

John- I've even experienced cell phones going off at church sometimes during prayer. That's really disrespectful. Also, in Broadway people are paying good money and don't want to be disturbed by phones, so that IS pretty sad. Do they ever make announcements before the shows about cell phones? Haven't people heard of vibrate is there is an emergency? Also, a WICKED phone ringer would be a wise choice, lol!
