Much good advice. Many will dissagree with the following procedure and maybe rightfully so. After each practice session I disassemble and dry out the tenons, swab out the bore and wipe down the exterior completely, cork grease all tenons to allow for a smooth assembly of all sections except a reed and ligature. It remains assembled for periodic playing and swabing and usually only goes to the case only when traveling. I have found that if the clarinet is visible it is more ascessable so I will probably engage in more practice time. The cork will probably wear a lot longer and there is less stress on the clarinet. Just my particular routine but not necessarily the best one.
