I have a recital this Friday and although I feel pretty well prepared I think I will play better on the 'musician's drug' (based on past experience). I have a prescription for Beta Blockers that expired about a month ago, any ideas what the effects of taking an expired medication could be? Perhaps slightly less effectiveness? Or, does the Gov't just require people to have the prescriptions with exp. dates so they will need to go back and see a doctor again to get re-evaluated every so often? I've taken expired Tylenol before and it seemed okay, but different drugs may be different in this way.
Also, I think I'll try to go somewhere and get the prescription refilled ahead of time if possible, so taking an expired medication would be a last resort. On the other hand, if a prescription expires on Jan 1. 2005, is that suppose to mean it's okay on Dec. 31, but not Jan 1? That would seem a little odd.
