Hi clarinet players,
Sorry if you have seen this request in other forums, but I am a student at Oxford University studying the role that the musical instrument industry plays in encouraging sustainable forestry in tropical countries. I would appreciate if you would take the time to answer the following questions about your clarinet and send the responses back to me at matt_sommerville@hotmail.com
Thanks very much,
Matt

1. What model of clarinet do you use?

2. How long have you had it?

3. Do you know off-hand what wood your clarinet is made from?

4. Do you know where this wood comes from?

5. Would you be willing to pay more for a clarinet that was made from sustainable wood products (harvested according to strict environmental and social guidelines)?

6. Do you believe that the musical instrument industry has a responsibility to use wood from sustainably certified sources?

Happy Holidays
