I acquired a clarinet from Ebay (I know, buyer beware!). Other than some minor things that can be resolved, I am pleased with it. One thing that I am curiuos about is the third finger lower joint "D" or "G" key has a piece of dark tape inside the tone hole. It is real hard to notice unless you are peering into the tone hole. My initial reaction is it is probably hiding a crack or acting as a reinforcement to the crack. Has anyone encountered something like that? I am not going to remove it, but am curious.
