Hi all,
I have difficulties in breathing for 2 solo in the first movement. Anyone has any idea?
Thanks in advance!

With all due respect to the great virtuoso, you should know better since your nick suggests so.

You could sneak in a quick breath after any of the last two 8th notes in mm. 19-22. Similarly in mm. 47-50. At quarter note = 120 it should be okay, 126 and up, convince yourself that you can do it...just imagine you are drowning and *have to* be able to breath that quickly! You'll be able to do it. Also, don't think of filling your lungs when taking these breaths, just try to gulp some a little air into your mouth and the lungs will fill consequently.

I cannot imagine Karl Leister asking us for advice! Whenever I play that piece, I don't play the couple of measures before the solos and breathe very deeply instead.
