mw,
There's nothing magic about CNC (Computer-Numeric Controlled) machines --- they just use computer software to control standard machine tools such as drills, routers, etc. --- they are simply faster and more repeatable, especially for mass-production work. You still have to have the tool!

David, I would agree that there is no magic to a CNC Machine. Nevertheless, as I stated --- if someone is giving one away, I'll certainly take one.
YES, agree it takes a (specialized) Tool --- that's why I thought to post/originate this Thread.

Great, you fellas have so much to add. I'll be sure to post more on these type issues in the future.
You know, I can think of a lot better use of duct tape on the 2 of you 'cept I wouldn't want to impact Wyeth's sale of Preparation H.

mw,
Get a sense of humor, eh? There's more to life than selling Buffet clarinets.

David, I think you ought to get a life, OK. You prior comments were condescending not to mention you did your best to TROMP on a Thread that was honestly offered for the good of all.
YES, I'll stick with my Buffet (& Yamaha, Selmer, Leblanc & Forte Clarinets).
I could say something about your Clarinets, but I'll foregoe that.

For everybody else:
There was a purpose behind this Thread. NO, it wasn't encourage wise cracks and similar "smart" comments from a few posters who obviously to have nothing better to do.
RATHER, there have been discussion in the past regarding UNDERCUTTING and so I thought to add a conversation on this (proposed) Tool to give us more of a PHYSICAL & VISUAL FEEL to how the and WHERE the modifications to the underside of the tone hole are accomplished.
If you wish to discuss further, please feel free to contact me offline. Sorry this Thread didn't work out.
