Changing pads with cork or synthetic?
Author: JeanD

Hello,

I am looking at changing the pads on my clarinet, and I am wondering about the reasons to use cork pads instead of synthetic pad like Valentino.

1. What are the advantages of using cork instead of synthetic pads for C#, Eb left and right?

2. Should cork pads be used for other notes as well?

and

3. Why is the register key always using a cork pad?

Thanks,
Jean

Jean
