I was wondering what are good pieces that a flute and clarinet can play without a pianist?
I have the Villa-Lobos #2 and Morton Gould Duos, but what else is out there that is worth buying and playing/performing?

Hi!
I just got done playing a nice piece for flute and clarinet..it's by Muczynski and called Duos for Flute and Clarinet. It's also written for 2 flutes. There are 6 movements...slow and fast..generally alternating. It's based around the "resultant tones" that happen at close intervals between the instruments..it's a really neat piece. I think you'll enjoy it.
Have fun!

A Danzi's duo sonata.
There is a CD where James Galway and Sabine Myer plays this.

If you want something a little different (modern, quirky, and entertaining), try Philip Parker's "Games". It has four movements with titles (Follow the Leader, Leap Frog, Hopscotch, and Tag). They are great for playing for younger audiences, although they are just as entertaining for the regular concertgoer. There are quite a few technical demands for both players, but it's worth the work. I would rate it about level 5.
