Hello Abbie,
Consider this: any playing job you get in music will depend on your playing rather than your degrees. You don't say which faculty is trying to get you to change majors. If it's your clarinet teacher, listen carefully. The other music classes will certainly help your musicianship in the general sort of way, but if you are at a good college, there will be lots of classes that you might be interested in as well. You say you will have to "kill yourself" to get the music classes in. Maybe this is a signal that you should spend your music time in practice and your study time somewhere else. Of course, who am I to say this, not knowing you? Good luck in your choice. It's good to be thinking ahead.
