Recently, I tried some moutpieces from a new maker named Ramon Wodkowski who studies at Yale with David Shifrin. They are some of the most precisely measured mouthpieces I've ever seen. I was struck by the ease in which they play combined with the beauty and projection of their sounds. Since then I've used one as my primary mouthpiece and haven't looked back. Nearly everyone who has tried my set up since then loves it, too. Since I'm so pleased, I thought I'd let everyone know to look out for this guy since I would expect he will start producing them for the clarnet public soon.
