It is very difficult to play Albert (or similar) clarinets after Boehm. I saw an Albert 'C' a while back, and bought it, but had real problems - fingers still think 'Boehm', it's all down to 'muscle memory'.
If you're careful you can pick up good 'C' Boehm clarinets (I just got a great one off ebay for just over £100 ) and they really do 'fly'.
I can use my favourite Bb mpc & reeds, no sacrifices on either fullness or quality of tone, and just that little bit higher & sweeter. And no transposing any more. Yippee. Clarinet player born again...
