I agree - it is a great combination. These are two versatile, acoustic instruments that project well. Dave Tarras formed a trio by adding drum kit, a 3rd person who doesn't need a lot of care and feeding.
The first wedding I played was just accordion & clarinet, under in a tent, in 90 degree July heat. I still run into the couple regularly, and they always get these goofy grins when the see me. I remember how blasted hot it was - guess they remember other things.
The accordion player from that event is still in the area. We are continually involved in other musical endeavors, but I have managed to snag him for a small number of weddings, and it is always surprising how much fun it becomes for us.
