 Going from Clarinet to Oboe?
Author: Jim

I play the clarinet. I need some feedback on if it is a good idea to go from Clarinet to Oboe. I'm really desperate, but since Clarinet is a single-reed instrument, and Oboe is a double reed instrument, I've been thinking about the complications I might meet on the way. Also: I've tried to play on an Oboe, and it seems easy at first, but I'm not so sure it'll be that way the whole time. HELP!
Also: What company makes good, resonably priced oboes? I'm looking for Conservatory system oboes. THANKS!

hey Jim
I was thinking about the same thing. For my birthday I want an oboe and right now I play the clarinet. I don't think it will be too hard and I will let you know a little later(when I get it) how it goes.
