I just got the sheet music to mozart's concerto for clarinet in a major, and in the first section, it calls for, several times I might add, a low D (below the staff- 4 leger lines, to be exact). Does anyone know where I can get the fingering for this? Or is this a typo? Thanks for your help.

Also, does anyone know how I can eliminate the squeaking when tounging, and also when playing? Is my embechoure incorrect, maybe?, or could it be the angle I hold it at?

If you are still squeaking on the tonguing, then put the concerto away for awhile and work on tonguing. Move only the tongue. Many people move the embouchure or even the jaw as they tongue and both will lead to squeaks.
I do not know which version of the concerto you are looking at but it was originally performed on the basset clarinet (an A clarinet with an extension down to D below the E). Thus the note is probably correct but you will have to either find another note that fits the chord harmony or get another edition where the editor has already done this.

Correction to previous post.

I'd agree with Dee - you've got the Basset Clarinet version. There is a standard version for the Soprano A clarinet which gets over this problem by playing certain sections an octave higher, and this is in fact the version that is usually heard.

I think there are only a few people in the world own a basset clarinet, most of them are top professional players.
The basset clarinet(range down to low C) is designed for playing solely the mozart concerto k622. The lowest price for a basset clarinet is about $4200 !! (a leblanc model sold on wwbw). I am thinking of buying one but I don't have enough money.
I usually play the concerto with an A clarinet, which tone is warmer than the Bb instrument. Besides the piano accompaying part is very difficult for a clarinet in Bb. Your pianist will get frustrated easily unless he/she is a top player.
