I have recently acquired what I belive is a C sax. I have been told that it is supposed to be played off piano music.
Anyone with info about this? Fingering? ect.

it's the same fingering as any other sax, you just have music in the key of C, which is the same key a piano is. you can read music for any concert pitch instruments (flute, oboe, violin) on that instrument.

It's circa the size of a tenor sax.

In the years before television made its way up, many people played music. And because mostly the other musicians were in C, saxes in C were made, to read the music from the piano/guitar sheets.

There're not used a lot now (expect for church music), but you can find them quite easily. There're not rare, so don't expect a lot of money, if you want to sell them...
