I have a problem with the altissmo register.I can reach up to altissmo A without any problem and have succeded in reaching B a fair few times. However every note above the altissmo E is drastically flat.I use reed 2 1/2.Should i play with harder reeds? All help appreciated.

um... yeah you need a harder reed. well, actually what kind of reed are you playing on? i think this is true or it may just be my opinion but a rico 2.5 equals like a vandoren 1.5 or 2 (ricos suck!!). i use vandoren v12 3.5 (silver box vandorens). i can play up to super C (second C above the staff). my altissimo c is flat but the other notes are fine. anyway its shocking that you can play that high on such a soft reed but you should probably get a harder reed, maybe a 3 since you can play so well on a 2.5. if a harder reed doesn't work, try different fingerings.
