Hey once again another Alto sax question. I have noticed my tone isnt that good. I keep doing long tones everyday but it doesnt seem to be making my sound much clearer. Just stronger and I control the sound more. I think why its not so clear is how I postion my mouth. How should you hold your mouth piece in your mouth for the best sound? Also I think Im gonna buy a new mouthpiece. Im willing to spend as much as nessary. So what do you think is the best buy? <Include best buy for ligature if possible.

i've found that if you take in about just over 1/3 of the mouth part for good tone. if you experiment with your embourchre you may get a better tone. And if your just a beginner it's probably better to stick with the mouthpiece you got with your sax, instead of paying a lot for a new one. but with all talent, it all comes with practise.
