I have been playing the contra-alto clarinet about half a school year. I usually play alot clarinet or bari sax music. I don't quite know the range of the contra because they don't write that much music for it. Si i'm having trouble geeting a real good feel for the insturment. I was wonder if anyone knew where i could find a fingering chart for the contra-alto clarinet. Thanks :-)

The contra-alto clarinet is fingered the same as all other Boehm system clarinets, with a few extra notes at the bottom of the scale. How many extra depends on the model. You can find fingering charts for clarinets here at WFG:

There is a special section for low clarinets, which includes the contra-alto.
