 Scraping an Oboe Reed
Author: Debbie
Date:   2001-06-01 13:12

Well I haven't started making my own reeds again (30+ years ago), but I was wondering if you buy a reed that is a little too hard with the intention of scraping it down a little, where should you begin to scrape and where should you avoid? I have old books from my oboe teacher with drawings on them in the margins, but I don't remember what they mean for me to do.
Thank you!
Debbie
