I know it's safe to use just alittle bit of water to get tough stains of a sax but is it ok to use a little water on clarinet? Or how about wood polish?

If it's a wood clarinet, water is probably the worst thing you could do.

water is the worst thing to use on wood, you can make the grain swell and warp, then you'll have a clarinet worth enough for the fire. talk to a professional music instrument repairman, they can tell you exactly what is good for the wood. hope this helps.

NO WATER!!!!!!!!!!!! WILL RUIN WOOD AND DAMAGE PADS!!!!!!!!
the wood can warp and if the pads get wet you will have to replace them i think wood polish and our polishing cloth would be your best bet hope this helps

You can go to a music store and buy what is called bore oil it works wonders on wooden clarinets and prevents cracks form moisture or drying out.
