i saw a Clarinet Mouthpiece with a tip opening of 88. What does than translate to in terms of the Tip Openings you see on the Van Doren Mouthpiece comparison chart where the Measurements are measured as 1/100 mm scale?
The Tip opening on the chart 100 on up to 147. I don't see any MP's that are 88

If it's a Vandoren is it possible it's a Profile 88 mouthpiece? That's a style designation referring to the beak shape. If it's really an "88" tip, it would have to mean .88mm. But Van Doren doesn't market anything that close-faced, AFAIK.
