For those who missed it, Hardwood - the new wind quintet commissioned by IDRS, the National Flute Association, International Clarinet Association, and International Horn Society - was co-premiered at IDRS last week by Madera Wind Quintet.
If anyone is interested in seeing/hearing the piece, you can view or download the score and stream the audio online here:

Following the co-premiere at IDRS, Marc Fink (oboist and former President of IDRS), wrote: "Hardwood is a wonderful quintet and a very significant contribution to the woodwind quintet repertoire. ... I think that the piece is as difficult and as appealing as John Harbison's "Woodwind Quintet" (1980)."
It’s also being co-premiered at ICA by Konza Wind Quintet on Aug. 4th and by Imani Winds at the NFA "Gala Concert" on Aug. 10th, should any of you be attending either of those. If you do, please do introduce yourself; it would be a pleasure to meet you!
Sincerely,
Lansing McLoskey
