 Norbeck pads

Does anybody have any experience with Norbeck pads? I have at least one pad to replace on my Leblanc Bb and I have a complete overhaul job to do on that A clarinet I bought from ebay. Ferree's catalog says they're great but I would like an opinion from anybody who has used them. Thanks.

I had the same question when I repadded a clarinet for the first time. In reading the comments about synthetic pads in the list archives, I found a number of opinions that these pads work well if they work at all, but they're difficult (some people said "impossible") to seat correctly. Because of my lack of experience in working on clarinets, I decided it would be wiser for me to go with traditional pads ( B-21 double-skin pads from Ferree's).
