Sorry to bother all of you, but I want to make a case for my sister. She lives in MN and I in VA so I can't take the measurements. So I was hoping someone would be willing to take some measurements off their pipe. I want the instument to rest put together without the mouthpiece. So what I need to know is:
1. Length with out mouthpiece
2. where each of the breaks are measure from the btoom of horn
3. where the finger rest is from bottom of horn
4. Diameter of the horn
5. Diameter of the body at each break
If anybody has a Pearl 716RBE I would love similar measurements for that also. As I want them both in the same case.
Thank you
Gary

the total length without the mouthpiece of the B-flat is 23 1/2 inches.
the barrel is 6.5 cm or 2 5/8 inches. the break between barrel and unnper joint is bit under 55 cm from the bottom the bell.
the break between the upper and lower joints is around 34 cm from the bell.
The break between the lower joint and bell is about 10.6 cm.
The finger rest is 29 cm from the bottom of the bell.
The bell is about 10.5 to 10.6 cm long and its diameter is about 7.6 cm
the diameters of the bodies at the breaks listed below exclude the keys and finger rings:
the diameter of the break between bell and low joint is 3.3 cm
the diameter of the break between low and upper joint is 3 cm
the diameter of the break between upper joint and barrel is about 3.1 cm
hope that helps
