I recently acquired a clarinet which has the word "International" inscribed on the top joint under the "Buffet Crampon Cie Paris" logo. The lower joint is marked "made in Germany" and both joints have the serial number 530690. I have not been able to find this model on the Boosey Hawkes website, ebay or any other distributor.
I would appreciate any information anyone may have about this model regarding age and value. It has a "Clark W Fobes San Francisco" mouthpiece and a "D. Bonade" ligature. The clarinet is in good physical shape and plays well. Thanks for any replies.

This is the most awesome clarinet you can get for the money. It generally costs around seven hundred dollars at a good music store and they seem to stay very consistent at a very high quality. They are very idea for a person who may not be a major or someone with out alot of cash. They are great horns.

There's been some thorough discussion in the past. Try a search on
buffet international
in the Search section of the BBoard.

Thank you everyone for the information. My husband traded the clarinet for a conga and gave it to me, so I think I made out well, even if it is a mid-line Buffet. It does please me to play it!
