HI, Does anyone know of a good tremolo fingering between G and D
(sitting right on top of the staff G to leger line high D).
This tremolo is found in a woodwind quintet by Gwenyth Walker. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Jeanine

I would have to fiddle round with it to tell you for sure, but my initial thought would be to play the D as an overblown open G (no fingers). Maybe experiment and add a side key (probably the lowest right hand side key) for intonation...

I have good news for you. This is not a tremolo but just a continuation of the preceding 16th notes, so it's not that fast and you can use regular fingerings.
How do I know? Because I am Gwyneth's copyist (I copied the part you are using some years ago) and have performed this piece (Braintree Quintet) for her.

Why don't you just buy it? Her publisher is MMB music in St. Louis or you could do a Google search for Gwyneth Walker's web site and email her to request a copy.
FWIW, her music is usually inexpensive as she would prefer to have her music performed than to get rich by it. (If that were possible...). I wouldn't be surprised if she just sent you a copy free of charge. However, I don't think that gives anyone permission to make illegal copies of a copyright work to send to you.
