I have just purchased a Pillinger 'R' mouthpiece as an alternative to my usual B45.It is such an improvement for me and I seem to get more playable reeds out of a box with it.I play a Yamaha CS-V with a Rovner C1-R lig and V-12#3 reeds. The mouthpiece enables me to control the sound more as I would wish and has a smaller beak and gives a different and nicer feeling in the mouth, although I had never considered that factor before it is a vast improvement for me.

Congradulations!!! You have found yours, for the moment. Unfortunately, there is no one-size-or-make-fits-all mouthpiece that is the "right one" for all, and so for many of us, the "great mouthpiece search" will forever continue. If I get a chance to try a Pillinger, I certainly will--but my rule is that when I can no longer park my car in my garage, I am through buying new mouthpieces. Good luck!!!!

Wow. A whole garage full of mouthpieces! I'm sorry to say mine only fill a suitcase or two.
