I was asking him about the bass clarinet program at his Rotterdam Conservatory! And his Bass clarinet book which I am considering getting. School starts on Monday... My bass is still in the shop, and I'm getting kind of nervous. Oh well, off to my boring day of staying at home. I will probably log on a lot today.

Listen to some records. Transpose some of your favorite pieces. Try some sightreading. Read a biography of Mozart. Ain't no such thing as a boring day.

Yeah, Ted, wait until you get old like me and have a day job and a long commute and small children of your own to take care of and a house to maintain and not a minute of free time, EVER....I'd give my right arm to have a "boring" day at home! Enjoy your day, listen to your colleagues above and make the musical best of it!

If you're bored, why don't you finish painting the front porch like I asked you, mow your grandmother's lawn and straighten up that mess in the basement...oh, no, wait, that's my teenage son, not you. Sorry, Ted.

Careful, Ted. In my experience, people who get easily bored are intrinsically boring. If you can't have interest in yourself, how can you expect others to develop interests in you? I believe it was Emerson (RW) who said, "What good is immortality to one who cannot spend well half an hour?" Man, you've got plenty to do. Just pick out the most important thing and go do it.
Regards,
John

Gosh... Shouldn't have said I was bored... Oh well, school has started, and now I have 3 highschool classes (in eight grade) to keep me busy.
