I got my Bass back a few days ago from Walter Grabner at ClarinetXpress. He did a fantastic job on the overhaul and tuning adjustments. I actually enjoy playing the beast now!

I�m really impressed with Walter�s careful and meticulous work.

And his customized and personaized bass mouthpieces are simply THE BEST. Getting mine--his customized Selmer C*--practically made an "instant" bass clarinetist out of me. (My new Buffet Prestge also helped a bit)

FYI--he also makes his own personalized Bb mouthpieces using the Zinner blanks. I have not tried them, but if they are as good as his bass mpc, I will definately be using them as well.

And, Walter, in addition to repair and customizing clarinets, is a great guy--accessable and friendly (as well as a great bass clarinetist--just ask him to show you a couple of "licks" from the symphonic reprtoir and be amazed)

You're right about his mouthpieces. I'm trying one now and I think I'll make the switch.
