Yes, and if I hadn't bought a new clarinet a couple of weeks ago I might bid on it. Buffet also made a "Jazz" Festival clarinet for a while. They dropped it due to lack of sales. They appear rarely on eBay, but when they do the "buy" price is usually high.

The F prefix to the serial number indicates that the instrument was made for Europe and is pitched at A = 442 (or maybe it was pitched high to play with a trumpet, in which case, however, it should also have come with a built-in pickup ;^) ). Does anyone know how this model differed from the "standard" R13?
Best regards,

I have dealt with the seller and he was a pleasure to deal with. However, I think that it is an error to call this clarinet an R13, though that is what I did when I first got mine. The name "Super Dynaction" was borrowed from the famous line of Buffet saxophones that carried the same name. That, I believe, is the correct model designation rather than being an R13.
I own one of these models, and while it is a fine professional clarinet, it is significantly different from my 1966 R13. The register key is placed higher toward the barrel and the bore has significantly less undercutting than my R13. Francois Kloc called it a very rare, limited production jazz clarinet. I have not been able to come up with any technical or production information on this instrument.

The bell is very badly cracked. A new one for this unusual model would be hard to come by. Still, there's an unconditional return option, so it might be worth a try.
Best regards.

Bells, even those that are pretty badly cracked, can be made "almost like new" by a skilled technician. Oddly enough, my Super Dynaction also had a cracked bell when I acquired it. Though I would disclose it to any potential buyer (if I ever decided to sell it), few people would ever suspect the bell had been repaired.
But you are right, Ken . . .
You won't be ordering a replacement "Super Dynaction" bell.
