I have an Emperor B&H clarinet which I bought in 1985, after several recent posts on these clarinets I examined the bore of my clarinet to examine the "huge" bore. Without resorting to a pair of vernier callipers for the exact measurement, the bore size didn't appear that different to my Buffet RC clarinet (1992 model). Did B&H change their bore size late in their clarinet manufacturing? Or is my eye out and there is a big difference between my two clarinet bores, or is the difference between a huge bore and a small bore not that great?
One other thing, someone mentioned these large bore clarinets required special mouthpieces. My B&H clarinet does not have it's original mouthpiece so what would a suitable one on todays market be?
Thanks for any answers.

The "touchable" (or viewable) difference between a large- and small-bore clarinet is small! But that bit means a lot in playing and intonation (in everything).
To play the Boosey in tune, you need a mouthpiece for a larger-bore clarinet, one, for instance, made by Peter Eaton or one manufactured by Boosey.
Ugh! Jealousy! You have an RC clarinet? Lucky you!!!!!!!
