The entire system will be down for some period of time on 21 May 2002 while the ISP that woodwind.org is connected to switches to a new carrier. You may have trouble connecting for up to 24 hours; I have set DNS queries to time out every 10 minutes, but sometimes things take longer than expected.
I will be switching ISPs in the near future again to cut costs and boost throughput by 50%.

After I switch to a new provider shortly after that, yes.
But ... not all that much faster. I haven't finished the migration to the new servers yet. Pieces at a time (like the databases recently) get moved so there's virtually no disruption in service. The new servers and distribution of massive processes (like re-indexing every evening) to other servers make the most difference. The added bandwidth actually helps me service more people without degradation.
