Duet Followup/Unrelated Question

Hello again everyone. Just wanted to thank everyone again for your suggestions/support with the clarinet/euphonium duet. My band director also thought it was an odd idea, but that it might work. I've just finished the piece, or at least the first part. It turned out to be 97 measures, and sounds pretty good in Finale Notepad's MIDI playback. I've yet to try to play it, though, as I have neither a clarinet nor a euphonium here. Oh well. Anyhow, if anyone would like to check it out, send me an email (ambuoroko@yahoo.com), and I'll send you the Finale Notepad File for it. It's not great, but I don't think it's too terrible for my first composition. Even just looking at it, in the process of creating it, I learned a considerable amount about composing, and it was great fun. My first attempt(s) at it sounded horrible, but I'm pretty happy with this one. One thing for any euphonium players on the board (I doubt there are any others, but...). I'm really big into pedal tones right now on the Euphonium, mostly because of a need to get down into the lower range to play Holst's First Suite and a few pedal Bb's in Children's March, so the piece is extensively low. You'd definately want a 4-valve Euphonium to play it,as it would be a LOT easier. Anyhow, hopefully SOMEONE will want to see it, because I'd like to share it, but am not sure where. Oh, I also have a quick (completely unrelated question). Ok, I always get copies of the clarinet parts for my band music just for fun, and I keep coming across something I cannot figure it. Although it happens with several notes, I'll use the strangest example. There are measures with two whole notes, that are kind of connected by lines, almost like a 32nd note or some such thing. I can't figure out what I'm supposed to do to play it... Two whole notes don't fit in one 4/4 measure, do they?

Ambuoroko, from your description, it sounds as if it is a tremolo.
