Hi All!
I wanted to thank you for helping me out every time I have a question. It is wonderful to have so many smart people to ask qestions on this board!!
I have one for you, now.
Would anyone know who edited the Reinecke "Undine" sonata? I can't find it anywhere on my music...
Thanks!
Michal.

Michal -
Did you look at the first page of the piano part? Often there's additional information there. On the other hand, International sometimes leaves things out.
The sonata was originally for flute, but it's certainly possible that Reinecke made the clarinet version himself. I haven't looked at it in a while, but as I recall, the clarinet part is a simple transposition of the flute part.
It's a very fine sonata, a bit less idiomatic on clarinet than on flute, and not easy, but certainly worth doing.
Best regards.

Michal... Reinecke himself did the clarinet version of his Sonata op. 167 (Undine) after the original flute version was published in Leipzig in 1883. He had thought that the darker clarinet sonority would be suitable in a reworked version of his sonata.
The sonata is a staple of the flute repertoire, but has yet to find its place as a major clarinet work...GBK
